BREAKING: Candido Gets NUJ NTA Chapel Award

The Mandate Secretary Transportation Secretariat, FCTA, Hon. (Dr) Abdullahi Adamu Candido will this week Friday receive the prestigious media merit award of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Abuja Chapel  under the distinguished host of the Director General of NTA, Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos.

The Chapel said Candido deserved the honour in view of his remarkable performance in public service delivery from his beginning as public office holder till date.

While informing him, the Chapel executive stated: "Sir, you have been nominated by the majority among other names put forward for an award by NUJ NTA Abuja Chapel. The ceremony is being hosted by the DG NTA Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos on 2nd December, 2022."

Candido, a journalist and administrator is the immediate past two-term Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC from 2016 to 2022.

During his tenure, he was widely adjudged as best performed AMAC Chairman so far with the execution of about 180 capital projects, besides  four legacy projects that have direct benefits to the people of the Area Council of which no local government chairman has ever done in Nigeria.

The legacy projects are  AMAC Marshall Guards, AMAC-Investment and Property Development Company, AMAC Microfinance Bank and AMAC Community Radio.
