ALGOVC Set To Honour President Tinubu, Akpabio, Wike Others On Nov. 28

The Association of Local Government Vice-chairmen of Nigeria, ALGOVC has concluded arrangements to honour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and some deserving Nigerians at its forthcoming national conference on November 28. In a statement jointly signed by the association's National Chairman and National Publicity, Aarebinrin Honourable (Dr) Princess Folasade Olabanji-Oba and Chief (Hon) Frank  Ozue respectively revealed that besides the president, no fewer than 15 prominent Nigerians were recognised for their sterling qualities, accomplishment, excellence and selfless services towards their community, humanity and nation building through empowerment and contribution to peace, unity and socio-economic development. The Association of Local Government Vice-chairmen of Nigeria, ALGOVIC has concluded arrangements to honour deserving Nigerians at its forthcoming national conference on November 28. Addressing newsmen in Abuja today, its National Chairman, Aarebinrin Honourable (Dr) Princess Folasade Olabanji-Oba said no fewer than 10 prominent Nigerians were recognised for their sterling qualities, accomplishment, excellence and selfless services towards their community, humanity and nation building through empowerment and contribution to peace, unity and socio-economic development. Political Appointment: FCT Stakeholders Lament Continued Marginalisation

The Federal Capital Territory FCT stakeholders under the auspices of FCT Non-Natives Forum has lamented the continued Marginalisation of FCT stakeholders in the area of political appointments.  In a press statement issued by the forum's General Secretarddy, Comrade Abdulwahab Ekekhide and made available to newsmen over the weekend, called for urgent attention to redress the marginalisation.  Comrade Ekekhide said that FCT Non-Natives Forum, a coalition of civil societies and community based groups, decided to draw the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Assembly to the continued marginalisation of FCT stakeholders in various appointments.  The General Secretary who said that so many appointments have been made so far, but only two persons have been appointed from FCT into federal level, a Minister and Special Assistant to the President, described the situation as disheartening and marginalisation of the people of FCT.  While appreciating Preside...
