ALGOVC Set To Honour President Tinubu, Akpabio, Wike Others On Nov. 28

The Association of Local Government Vice-chairmen of Nigeria, ALGOVC has concluded arrangements to honour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and some deserving Nigerians at its forthcoming national conference on November 28.

In a statement jointly signed by the association's National Chairman and National Publicity, Aarebinrin Honourable (Dr) Princess Folasade Olabanji-Oba and Chief (Hon) Frank  Ozue respectively revealed that besides the president, no fewer than 15 prominent Nigerians were recognised for their sterling qualities, accomplishment, excellence and selfless services towards their community, humanity and nation building through empowerment and contribution to peace, unity and socio-economic development.

The award list according to her included Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President; Dr. George Akume, Secretary to the government of the Federation; Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President and Barrister Nyesom Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Others are Governors Godwin Obaseki and Mohammed Bago of Edo and Niger States respectively, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Alhaji Muhammed Idris, Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation.

Also in the list are Senator  Tokunbo Abiru, Senator Fasuyi Cyril and Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, 

ALGOVC Boss disclosed that apart from the award night, earlier on that day, there would be conference in the morning, where three critical lectures on pressing national issues would be presented by eminent Nigerians and it is expected to be declared open by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Scarcity Of New Notes: Tinubu Is Fighting For Nigerians, Says Fashola

The Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola has affirmed President Muhammadu Buhari is strongly behind All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.  Federal government has flagged off capacity building on emotional intelligence aimed at increasing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management, for improved service delivery by the rank and file of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
