A member of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC legislative Council representing Wuse ward, Honourable Mathias Aliu has recognised those individuals in his ward that have contributed immensely to the development of the ward in particular and AMAC in general.
Aliu at an impressive ceremony on Saturday awarded 300 residents of his ward with certificate of recognition for their contributions to the development of the area.
This recognition, however, followed with cash rewards to show appreciate and encouragement for what they were doing individually to develop the ward and enjoined them to continue to do more without looking back.
Wuse ward Councillor, a former deputy majority leader in the last legislative Council, has been so consistent in organising empowerment schemes for his constituents in the last four years of representing the people of his Wuse ward in AMAC.
Aliu was first elected as Councillor in May 20, 2019 and following his remarkable performance and quality representation, he was re-elected for second term early this year to be the only returning Councillor out of 12 membership legislative Council.
Before his election in 2019, he was appointed in 2018 by the then AMAC Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido to serve as his Personal Assistant on youths empowerment and skills acquisition.
