Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the People's Democratic Party, claimed that more people attended his campaign in Abuja than the APC's national election campaign did. This was stated by Atiku Abubakar to the kind Abuja citizens who came out to support him today in Eagle Square.
Atiku claimed throughout the campaign that he and his team were in Abuja to express their gratitude to the beautiful residents of Abuja for their unwavering support. He argued that there is no doubt in their minds that they will continue to support them.
Atiku went on to say that if given the chance to govern the nation, they will outperform all of Abuja's accomplishments from 1999 to 2015. He assured them that he would give them everything to which they are currently entitled under the constitution and said that he would make all the appointments to which the great people of Abuja were entitled.
If he wins, he also pledged to defend Abuja and change the constitution. He continued by saying that he will unite Nigeria and ensure that no region was left out. Additionally, he pledged to support education and make sure that Nigerian colleges are always open.
