The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has recently revealed that he does not see himself giving up his pursuit for Presidency anytime soon.
According to the report on Abuja Daily Mail, the Politician while speaking with Financial Times, revealed that as long as he is strong, healthy and alive, he will continue to run for presidency.
In his words, he said: "It is a life-long ambition and as long as I’m alive and strong and healthy, I will continue pursuing it."
Atiku Abubakar, according to history, is one of the Nigerian politicians who have run for Presidency for the highest number of times. Undeterred, the politician went on to contest in the 2007 general election under the Action Congress but lost to the PDP. In 2011, he lost the Presidential primaries in the PDP to Goodluck Jonathan. He left the PDP and joined the APC in 2014 where he contested in the Presidential primaries and lost to Muhammadu Buhari.
In 2017, he returned to the PDP, got the Presidential ticket and contested against incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 but lost the election.
