Making this call in a press statement issued in Abuja, the APC South East Leader in FCT, Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu said this becomes necessary in the interest of inclusiveness, equity and fairness in the country.

Onuchukwu who presided over Senator Abdullahi Adamu for APC National Chairmanship Campaign  Organisation as its Director General last year expressed confidence in the ability of the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bring every tribes on board through his proposed government of national unity where in particular the three major tribes of Hausa/Fulani, Igbo and Yorubas would be adequately represented at the scheme of things.

Onuchukwu who was not in doubt of Tinubu capacity and capability to unite Nigerians said, the president elect has the political will with which to unite every ethnic nationalities in the country without excluding any one in his government.

He was particularly happy that the southeast has made a significant showing at the just National Assembly elections by producing six Senators-elect.

Adding that, there is no reason again for APC to exclude south east from the first three major positions in the land as the zone now have ranking senators that could occupied the plum job of Senate President in the coming assembling, unlike in the previous dispensations, where they didn't have any ranking Senator in the party from the zone.

He said now the some have two APC ranking senators in the person's of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the incumbent Senate Chief Whip and Senator Osita Izunaso that could be Senate President, noting that any of these two senators when eventually picked would be capable to represent the interest of the south east well.

He therefore, urged the Igbos in general to put the recently conducted presidential and National Assembly elections behind them and embrace the incoming Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency for the general good of the people of south east Nigeria.

He said this time around the Igbos in their large numbers should move out of their present opposition and pitch their tents with the mainstream political party, APC so that life will be more  abundant for the people.
