Eid-el-Kabir: APC Chieftain, Jagaba Sarki Felicitates With Muslim, Urges Tinubu To Appoint Abuja Native As Minister
A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hon. Sarki A. Jagaba, has felicitated with Muslims in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Speaking with newsmen on the occasion of Sallah in Abuja, Hon. Jagaba, a former Supervisory Councillor for Works and Housing during Abdullahi Adamu Candido's administration in AMAC, advised them to use the occasion in praying for a secured, prosperous and better Nigeria.
He also stressed the need for them to pray for national peace and economic development and safe return of Nigerians who are on pilgrimage to Mecca
According to him, the task of repositioning Nigeria for greatness required the prayers and support of everyone irrespective of religion, tribe or political differences.
Hon. Jagaba used the opportunity to call on President Bola Tinubu to consider FCT native for the ministerial slot he promised to give FCT for the first time. Adding that this was the right time to have a native of FCT to be seated at the Federal Executive Council,FEC, that would represent the general well-being of the people of the territory.
The former Supervisory Councillor, who said the country has just recently witnessed a new administration, called on the adherents of Islamic religion, to use the festival and offer prayer for the new administration of President Tinubu for Allah's blessings and guidance.
He therefore, called on all Nigerians to support the present administration in its efforts to revamp the ailing economy through its Renewed Hope agenda he promised the nation.
