SGF: Wilson Gber, Ex-APGA presidential Candidate Commends Tinubu For Akume's Appointment

A Former Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2019 Presidential Election, Retired Major General John Wilson Gbor has commended President Bola Tinubu for Appointing Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Retired Major General Gbor described the appointments as a welcomed development not only for the people of Venue State but Nigeria in general.

He said Senator George Akume who is a former Governor of Benue State and also former Senator and Minister as well as an Administrator of sound repute has what it takes to succeed as SGF.

While congratulating Senator George Akume for the appointment, Retired Major General Gbor expressed optimism in his ability to deliver as the Chief Scribe of the nation 

He also used the opportunity to  congratulate President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his inauguration as the 16th elected President of Nigeria.

The Former APGA Presidential Candidate equally expressed confidence in the capacity of President Tinubu to deliver on his mandate based on his track records as trained Accountant and former Governor of Lagos State.

He said his capacity and intellectual competency as well as mentorship to about 80 percent of Nigerian politicians would no doubt go a long way in contributing to his performance in office.

While advising President Tinubu to put in place necessary modalities to combat insecurity in the country, Retired Major General Gbor appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu's led administration to ensure national peace and economic development

On fuel subsidy removal, the former Presidential Candidate said the removal is long overdue but called on the President to put in place necessary palliatives to cushion its effects

The Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola has affirmed President Muhammadu Buhari is strongly behind All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.  Federal government has flagged off capacity building on emotional intelligence aimed at increasing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management, for improved service delivery by the rank and file of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
