The National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN, has called on the Federal Government to give due attention to the scheme of service of its members in year 2023. In his New Year message; the National President of the Association, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed advocated level 17 as retirement point for Community Health Practitioners, level 8 as entry point while level 10 should be the entry stage for Community Health Officers and level 14 as retirement point for Community Extension Workers just like other professionals in the country. Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed also stressed the need for more welfare package, accommodation, training and retraining as well as necessary facilities that would improve the productivity of community health practitioners towards boosting health care delivery in 2023 most especially at the grassroots.
